Me!

Simon Trewin studied at Highgate School in London and graduated from Kent University in 1988 with a B.A (Hons) in Drama and Theatre Studies. He then spent 5 years working in the theatre with the likes of Trevor Nunn, Albert Finney, Vanessa Redgrave, Colin Firth and Sam Mendes. He has worked in publishing since 1993 when he joined the Literary department of Sheil Land Associates Ltd where his colleagues included Giles Gordon, Robert Kirby, Anthony Sheil, Vivien Green, Matthew Bates and John Rush. In 1999 he followed Robert Kirby to Peters Fraser and Dunlop Ltd in their Drury Lane offices, working alongside Pat Kavanagh, Charles Walker, James Gill, Rosemary Scoular, Rosemary Canter and Carol McCarthur. He was Secretary of the Association Of Authors Agents from 2000 - 2003 and co-ran the Book department with Caroline Dawnay from 2004 until the end of 2007.

In 2008 Simon joined a new agency - United Agents (founded by a large group of agents who left Peters, Fraser and Dunlop) and brought with him a diverse client list including the likes of Steven Hall, Mackenzie Crook, Scarlett Thomas, Danny Wallace, Andrew Miller, Girl With A One Track Mind, Petite Anglaise, Fiona Neill, Catherine Banner and Andrew Martin.
In his spare time he is also an author with lots of books now published - none of which have bothered the bestseller lists - alas. He likes the quirky, unconventional and above all - a challenge!
